What Is an Adverb of Time?
An adverb of time is a word that tells you when something happened. They modify verbs, adjectives, other adverbs or even full sentences. It answers the question “When did it happen?” For example, now, already and tomorrow are some adverbs of time. Basically, any expression that follows this pattern can be considered an adverb of time!

1. Ahora – Now
Ahora estoy comiendo.
Now I’m eating.
2. Anoche – Last Night
Anoche vimos una película.
Last night we watched a movie.
3. Antes – Earlier
Miramos televisión antes.
We watched TV earlier.
4. Ayer – Yesterday
Ayer fui al mercado.
Yesterday I went to the market.
5. Después – Later
¡Nos vemos después, Luisa!
See you later, Luisa!
6. Hoy – Today
Hoy los niños visitaron a su abuela.
Today the children visited their grandmother.
7. Mañana – Tomorrow
Mañana beberemos jugo de naranja.
Tomorrow we’ll eat orange juice.
8. Pronto – Soon
Juana comprará una casa pronto.
Juana will buy a house soon.
9. Tarde – Late
Llegaste tarde a la reunión.
You arrived late to the meeting.
10. Temprano – Early
Tengo que levantarme temprano.
I have to get up early.
11. Todavía – Still, Yet
No he terminado todavía.
I haven’t finished yet.
12. Ya – Already
Ya he comido.
I have already eaten.
