The conditional mood is used in Spanish the same as in English, to express what would happen if it were not for some other circumstance. Check this post if you need to review the simple conditional.
In English, the progressive conditional is when we add would be + verb/ing to the main verb. For example:
In your place, I would be learning new things.
In Spanish, we need to use the verb estar in the simple conditional and the following verb as a gerund:
En tu lugar, yo estaría aprendiendo cosas nuevas.
