The compound future (futuro compuesto), in both English and Spanish, is used to describe a future action that will be completed before another future action:
Ellos habrán salido para las 3 de la tarde.
They will have left by 3 in the afternoon.
Conjugation
In Spanish, this tense is formed by using the simple future of the auxiliary verb haber and the past participle. As always, we’ll take the verb hablar as a model. Listen to Cristóbal, a voice from Mexico:
