As a passionate ESL teacher, I get to work with lots of students, including many from the United States. I absolutely love interacting with my American students, and I’ve decided to take things to the next level!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’m going to start incorporating posts about the United States on my website to help my students engage with current events and topics related to their home country in Spanish.
To kick off this new series, I’ve put together a basic article about the House of Representatives. But here’s the really cool part – I’ve added a feature that allows my students to click on unfamiliar words or expressions to open up pop-up windows with explanations and links to relevant resources.
Luciana, from the United States, will read this article for us. But wait, it gets even better! Along with sharing lots of awesome links and fun games, we’ll be diving deeper into this topic in our next lesson.
This article is totally impartial, so get ready for an epic debate during our next meeting.
And that’s not all – I want you to start brewing up your thoughts on the House of Representatives in our shared Google Doc. I’ll go through your ideas beforehand so that we can have an amazing discussion and, of course, boost our Spanish skills while we’re at it! Let’s make this next lesson super exciting!
Let’s play this game!
